RLTCC Pool Rules

  1. Admission fee required to enter facility for swimmers and spectators.

  2. Running is not allowed around the pool deck.

  3. Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices may be used in the pool (no water wings).

  4. Only regular, clean bathing suits may be worn. Jeans, shorts and regular street clothing are not permitted in the pool. No thong bathing suits.

  5. Children in diapers are not permitted in the pool unless the diaper is covered with rubberized pants or a swimsuit with elastic banding. Swim diapers are required.

  6. Children ages 5 years old and under must be within arm’s reach of parents/guardians while in the pool and on the pool deck. Ratio of 1 adult for 2 children under 5

  7. Youth ages 6-12 years old must be accompanied by parents/guardians to enter and use the pool Parents/adults must remain on premises with children. Ratio of 1 adult per 6 children between the age of 6-12.

  8. Youth ages 13 years and older must demonstrate the ability to swim to be able to enter and use the pool without parents/guardians.

  9. A verbal warning will be issued the first time a patron must be “rescued” by a lifeguard. A second “rescue” occurrence will result in the patron being suspended from the pool for the remainder of the day.

  10. A 10-minute rest break is called every hour on the hour during public swimming times. During this time all patrons must exit the water and are encouraged to drink water, use the restroom, find all party members, and apply sunscreen as needed.

  11. All patrons must shower before entering the pool.

  12. Loitering or horseplay in or around the locker rooms, showers or restroom is not allowed.

  13. No glass containers. No coolers.

  14. Food and drinks are not allowed on the Wet Deck or in the pool.

  15. Pushing or pulling of swimmers from the deck to the water is not allowed.

  16. No flipping or diving allowed.

  17. Dunking, wrestling, chicken fights, excessive splashing, tag playing, or horseplay is not allowed in or around the pool.

  18. Deck furniture is available on a first come, first served basis.

  19. Patrons are asked to towel off before entering the building. Before entering the common areas, patrons must be in compliance with the RLTCC dress code. Bathing suits may not be worn in the common areas-also, shoes are required for all patrons including children.

  20. Swimming is not allowed after closing. People using the pool during this time will be arrested and charged with trespassing.

  21. Lifeguards at RLTCC use a lightening detector for patron safety. If lightening is seen, thunder is heard, or the lightening detector sounds, all patrons must clear the pool and go inside the building. Patrons must remain out of the pool for 30 minutes after the last flash of lightening, sound of thunder, or alarm from the lightening detector.

  22. Refunds or rain checks will not be issued to patrons in any event that may require the pool to close.

Pool Slide

  1. Riders must be at 44 inches least tall.  

  2. one rider at a time. Riders must lie on their backs or be seated at all times. All sliders must sit down, feet first.

  3. No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume.

  4. No tubes or life jackets are permitted on the water slide.

  5. Non-swimmers are not permitted on the slide.

  6. Parents may not hold children on the slide.

  7. Riders must wait for instructions from the pool staff stationed at the slide before entering the slide.

  8. Follow instructions from all pool staff on duty.

  9. Warning: water depth at the bottom of the slide is 3 feet.

  10.  No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide.

  11. No sunglasses, eyeglasses, goggles or swim masks can be worn by rider.

  12. No cut off jeans, gym shorts, or T-shirts allowed. Proper swim attire required.

  13. Pregnant women or individuals with heart or back conditions or other physical impairments are advised not to use the slide. Riders must be in good health.

  14. Upon exiting from the slide, swimmers must move out of the splash area immediately.

  15. No one is allowed to catch a rider at the bottom of the slide.

  16. No pushing, shoving or saving places in line.
